Sandwiches

Our breads are delivered every single day from The Castle Bakery in Ogle and from The Misteltoe Bakery in Jesmond.

Sandwiches are made fresh every morning and are never kept for more than 24 hours.

The fillings are generously proportioned, from local suppliers and are always organic.  It’s just tastier that way.

Sandwich examples are:

• Smoked cheese, roast chicken, bacon and red onion with sweet onion chutney
• Stilton and walnut with red onion marmalade and spinach
• Mexican Cheddar savory with diced red onions, peppers and tortilla chips
• Turkey, Cumberland sausage, sage and onion stuffing, creamy mayo and cranberries

Mmmm!  And none of them are more than £2.50!  Scandalous.

Cous Cous Salad bowls

Little crackers, grapes, cheeses, sun dried tomatoes and chutney all freshly sealed in a wee packed lunch carton so it’s just like being back at school.

Grilled open sandwiches

Bubbling and sizzling margarita pizza slices with or without salami.

The white baguette base is from The Castle Bakery bread and we, of course, use only organic cheddar cheeses for the toppings.

Crisps

Lower fat ‘Real Crisps’ and hand fried vegetable crisps for virtually guilt-free snacking.

Yoghurts

Organic of course and created in house with ingredients from local dairies.

Have your yoghurt in your own little pot with organic muesli, organic granola or if your feeling daring just take it neat!

Chocolate and sweets

Cute little Green and Blacks chocolate bars specially designed into the palm of your hand (and your tummy) perfectly.

Organic ‘Seeds of Change’ cereal bars, caramel slices, organic flapjacks and fair trade chocolate bars.

And you can even pretend to buy sweets for the kids and then eat them yourself!  Barley sugar, Jelly Belly beans, liquorice spears and shoelaces and white chocolate mice.

We even bake things

Carrot cakes, chocolate gateaux, hand-iced biscuits, scones, gingerbread, muffins and if we’re feeling really adventurous; gingerbread muffins.

Not just coffee

Tetley tea or fair trade tea as well as organic fruit teas in six different flavours.

Freshly squeezed orange juice squeezed before your very eyes.

Bottled still waters, Italian sparkling mineral water, organic bottled berry drinks, old fashioned ginger beer, shandy and dandelion and burdock, organic canned mango and lemon juices, French lemonade and lots of fair trade juices and smoothies too.
